Standard
Features

Our Field Shelters come with the following features as standard:

All internal and external timber used in the building is pressure-treated for longevity (excluding roof purlins) using Tanalith E™. This is a specialist preservative impregnated into the wood before construction that helps avoid fungal decay, wood rot and insect attack.tanalised-e-logo-150
All our Field Shelters feature 2.1m (7′) wide openings as standard but these can be optionally increased or decreased. Double doors can also be fitted and conversion kits are available.
We can build your shelter with or without a 1.2m (4′) canopy included. Canopies are great for providing that little bit more shelter from the elements but are easily omitted for a different aesthetic.
All shelters include front guttering and have a down-pipe fitted – perfect for aiding the drainage of rainwater which can be collected in a water butt.
As standard, the interior walls of our Field Shelters are fitted with kickboards to 1.2m (4’) high, helping protect interior shelter walls.
Field Shelter roofs are fitted with hardwearing, black Onduline as standard.

Differentiating Features

In addition, this particular range also includes the following differentiating features:

Clipper Range Field Shelters come with upgraded 18mm thick, moisture-resistant, OSB kickboards that extend 1.2m high giving additional protection against interior wall damage.
Anti-Chew Strips are fitted to the vertical sides of the shelter openings for added protection.
OS boarding is fitted to the underside of the Onduline roof for better insulation.
A pressure treated timber slip rail with galvanised brackets is included with each shelter opening, providing an easy and convenient way to keep your animals inside their shelter.
The pressure treated timber framing used on a Chart Field Shelter measures 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”). This provides a more solid structure suitable for large animals or general storage purposes.

May I take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Chart for their continued help and support throughout this building project, especially the builders for their professional and efficient standard of working (and witty charm and sense of humour!). I (and my horses) am very pleased with the stables and field shelter supplied and erected today, and will certainly purchase more buildings as needed from you in the future as well as highly recommend your company to others seeking timber buildings.
